Our Story
When Dog Guard president Dean Watkins was 9, his German Shepherd, Sheba, was killed by a car in front of the family home. Shortly after, Dean’s dad launched Dog Guard to help other families protect their pets—an unwavering mission that holds true three decades later.
Quality and service have always been our top priorities, and we continue to innovate, refine our solutions, and develop industry-leading capabilities. Our latest transmitter features 32 levels of correction, far beyond what our competitors offer, while our receivers have become smaller, lighter, and more resilient over the years.
We use North American vendors to manufacture our products, and perform final assembly and testing ourselves at our home office in Troy, New York.
